Description : Clube dos Brasileirinhos, a school of Portuguese as Heritage Language, is looking for teachers who are native speakers of Brazilian Portuguese, interested in working with children and adolescents aged 2 ½ to 15 years.

 

Location: Clube dos Brasileirinhos - Queens Park - NW6 6RG - London

 

Position: Teacher of Portuguese as a Heritage Language

 

Contract: self-employed - average of 3 to 4 hours per Saturday during the term following the British school calendar (10 Saturdays per term - 3 terms per year)

 

Hours: 9:30 am to 1:30 pm on Saturdays

 

Basic requirements:

• UK work permit (Club cannot assist in obtaining work visas)

• DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate similar to the criminal history of Brazil (if you do not have it, be able to request one through the Clube dos Brasileirinhos),

• Intermediate level of English

• Commitment to work on Saturday mornings

• Participate in meetings and training (when necessary)

• Informatics knowledge

• Positive attitude towards children and adolescents

 

Desired qualifications:

• Higher education and / or other areas

• Experience in teaching children and adolescents

• Knowledge of the UK education system

• Knowledge and / or availability of Heritage Language training
